Rebecca Ving Yann Loh has passion for dance and alove of illustration. She was born in Malaysia and started her passion for both illustration and dance at a young age. She trained in contemporary when she first landed in England and fell in love the concept of contemporary. She admires the choreographers, Trisha Brown, Shen Wei, Richard Alston, and Akram Khan. The illustrators that has inspired her are Tony Orrico and Wassily Kandinsky.

Loh will be performing an experimental dance is a short improvisational piece that aims to tie together experimental dance and illustration, portraying there are no boundaries between the arts. The theory behind my practise is that illustration does not need to be a figurative drawing it only has to tell a narrative and this applies for any piece of art. The piece will be a response to a improvised music score, and will be performed on a large piece of paper using paint to portray the two mediums coming together. This piece is to attract the attention of the audience, portraying the way these two mediums work together.
